The operator says parts of the grandstand reached 32.5 degrees and felt sauna-like, with spectators complaining online. Venue bosses introduced measures such as pausing play mid-grand final and adding hydration breaks, and they note indoor spikes more than four degrees above outdoor conditions.

Engineers were consulted (namely Biox International) on enduring cooling solutions, including mist fans that can lower temperature by 5 degrees.
